Dr. Sarah Rose Usher’s path into dentistry is rooted in determination, leadership, and a commitment to caring for patients at the highest level.
Raised in New Mexico, Dr. Usher attended the University of New Mexico, where she became one of the first in her family to graduate from college—an achievement that set the tone for a career defined by perseverance and excellence. She went on to earn her dental degree from the prestigious A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona, as well as a Master of Public Health, reflecting her broader commitment to improving health beyond the dental chair.
From early in her training, Dr. Usher was drawn to the surgical and medical side of dentistry. She chose to pursue advanced hospital-based training at the University of New Mexico Hospital, a residency widely regarded for its intensity and depth in surgery, sedation, and the management of medically complex patients. It was there that she developed the foundation for a career focused on advanced procedures, including sedation dentistry, implant surgery, and comprehensive patient care.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Usher has performed thousands of surgical procedures and thousands of sedation cases, building a level of experience that places her among the most accomplished female dental surgeons in the region. She is also a faculty instructor with Conscious Sedation Consultants, where she trains other dentists in sedation techniques—an indication of the trust placed in her clinical judgment and skill.
Dr. Usher’s expertise extends beyond traditional dentistry into advanced facial esthetics, regenerative medicine, and soft tissue procedures. She has trained with leading clinicians around the world in Botox, dermal fillers, and facial esthetics, and has been incorporating platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) into her practice since 2018. Dr. Keon Ahghar’s path into dentistry didn’t start with a business plan—it started with a deep connection to New Mexico and a desire to do meaningful, hands-on work that could truly change people’s lives.
Born and raised in New Mexico, Dr. Keon attended the University of New Mexico, where he was part of the Honors College. From early on, he distinguished himself academically. The year he applied to dental school, he was accepted into more than seven programs nationwide—placing him among the top 1% of applicants in the country.
He ultimately chose to attend the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, which at the time was widely regarded as the #1 dental school in the United States. There, he graduated at the top of his class and discovered a passion for surgery, complex treatment planning, and restoring function for patients who had often run out of options.
Rather than entering general practice immediately, Dr. Keon chose to pursue advanced surgical training through a hospital-based residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital. The program is known for its intensity and depth, with a strong emphasis on oral surgery, anesthesia, and the management of medically complex patients. It was there that he built the foundation for what would become a career focused on full mouth reconstruction, dental implants, and sedation dentistry.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Keon has placed thousands of dental implants, performed thousands of sedation cases, and completed tens of thousands of surgical procedures. His dental implant success rate exceeds 99%, reflecting a consistent focus on precision, planning, and advanced surgical execution. He has continued to train extensively, completing thousands of hours of advanced implant education, including surgical courses and mentorship with leading clinicians across the United States and the world.
Today, he holds advanced distinctions including Master certification in the Academy of Osseointegration, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and Master status in the College of Sedation Dentistry. He maintains hospital privileges at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and holds the highest level of sedation certification available to dentists, allowing him to safely treat even the most complex surgical cases.
While deeply rooted in New Mexico, Dr. Keon’s work has earned recognition well beyond the region. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Keon is first and foremost a husband and father, with his wife and children at the center of his life. Fun fact: Dr. Keon used to be a yoga instructor.

I have a profound passion for serving others and giving back through my work in dentistry. This commitment is reflected in my annual involvement in dental missions to the Dominican Republic, where I provide essential dental care to underserved communities. In addition to my work in the Dominican Republic, I participate in the Mission of Mercy program. This initiative offers free dental care to individuals in need across various regions, furthering my dedication to improving oral health and access to care for those who might otherwise go without. These experiences are incredibly fulfilling and reinforce my belief in the transformative power of giving back through professional expertise.

In addition to my domestic travels, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain. This immersive experience not only enhanced my understanding of Spanish culture and language but also broadened my global perspective.
Southeast New Mexico is home. This is where I was raised and developed my passion for dentistry, it is my greatest pleasure to come home and practice in the community that I love.
